The professional forensic organizations where most practicing forensic dentists belong are the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and the American Society of Forensic Odontology (ASFO). The AAFS has an odontology section with a membership of over 300 dentists. Their experience varies from trainee to fellow.
